Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Sparklux (“the app”) handles personal information.
1. What is never collected
The app does not collect or transmit any of the following.
- The content of the videos you play
- File names or paths
- Viewing history
- Contact details such as your name, email address or phone number
- Location
- Identifiers used to track you across apps or devices
The app contains no analytics, no advertising SDK and no crash reporting.
2. Stored on your Mac only
The following is kept on your Mac only and is never transmitted.

These are removed when you delete the app.
3. Stored in iCloud
Only the start date of your free trial is stored in your private iCloud database.
- The purpose is managing the free trial (so that reinstalling does not reset it)
- It is stored in your own iCloud, and the developer cannot read it
- It contains no video content, file names or viewing history
- The app works even if you are not signed in to iCloud or cannot reach it (in that case the trial is tracked on your Mac only)
4. Purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple (the App Store). The app never receives or stores payment details such as card numbers. Whether you have purchased is determined on your Mac from the receipt Apple issues.
5. Network activity
The app communicates only in the following cases.

No video-related network activity occurs unless you open a URL.
About the external tool (yt-dlp)
To play a streaming-service URL, the app invokes yt-dlp that you installed yourself.
The app neither bundles nor installs yt-dlp. Any network activity performed by yt-dlp is
governed by the policy of its distributor.
6. Children’s privacy
The app does not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (it collects no personal information from anyone).
7. Changes
If this policy changes, this page will be updated and the “Last updated” date revised. Significant changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
